Valerie Logan is the resident artist at the Gray Parrot Glass Studio. Coming from a family of artists, she brings her own special talent and vision to the art of hot glass. She has studied under Chris Buzzini, Loren Stump and Lewis Wilson, and has also studied at the 'hot glass mecca' (Corning NY). She brings her lampworker's point of view to bear on any project she undertakes, producing her own vision of marbles, buttons, beads, and other lampworked items. Valerie has her studio space in a converted barn in the Colorado Front Range, where she teaches beadmaking classes and spends her lampworking time on her Minor or Bethlehem torch. Here is Valerie's autobiographical sketch: "My name is Valerie Logan and I am the owner of Gray Parrot Glass Studio. I have been making lampwork glass beads for seven years now. My how time flies when you are having fun! I overcame my fear of fire to pursue this truly unique art form. Life has not been the same since. We moved to a rural Colorado setting three years ago. My studio overlooks the foothills of the Rockies, which are a stones throw away. I also watch our pygmy goats and miniature horses frolic out in the pasture out front. I am truly blessed to be able to work in such a wonderful environment. Another plus is the absence of traffic as I "commute" to my studio 75 ft. from our home. We converted 1/3 of our barn into a studio after moving in. It is all set-up for lampworking and glass fusing as well. This is where I teach classes also. At a later date I will be adding studio pictures to my website so that you can see where all the beads are made. I will also be adding more inventory to my store after I return from my next show mid-October. Hope you enjoy my store, please feel free to leave feed back and let me know what you think of this new option to my website! Thanks, and happy shopping." Valerie Logan Owner/Artist Valerie makes her home with her husband Chuck and studio mascots Roxy and Pepper, our African Grey Parrots. Also Skeeter, Aggie, and Trudy the pygmy goats, two baby pygmy goats Loctor and (Hmmm I forget) (for sale!), Bucky and Gracie the miniature horses. Gray Parrot Glass Studio, Inc. Valerie C.
